I’m not writing a Thesis…

by Cy Caine on February 2, 2010

I’ve worked at the intersection of print and online publishing for most of my career. For more than a decade I’ve owned the cycaine.com domain.  So I think it is safe to say that I am long overdue in creating a personal website.   Given that this is something that has been on my to do list for a long time, why now? Mostly because I was inspired by Dan McCarthy (www.viralhousingfix.com) and Todd Dubner (www.tdubner.com) and the success they have had with their blogs.  Given the source of my inspiration to act, it made sense to look to them for cues on the best tools for the job.  Both Dan and Todd use the Thesis WordPress theme from DIYThemes.com.  I still have a steep learning curve ahead of me to become fully comfortable with the Yahoo (site host), WordPress and Thesis tools that combine to create this site.  However, I am committed to making the climb.  More to follow. But for tonight I am trying to learn to use “Thesis,” not writing one.
